The TAP2100 Ethernet Data Sniffer made by KUNBUS GmbH represents a network monitoring tool for the analysis of all common Industrial Ethernet solutions. The device features four 100MBit/s sample ports which enables a user to monitor of up to two independent real-time Ethernet connections. The KUNBUS-TAP Data Sniffer has an internal throughput delay of 0 μs (zero delay) which makes it almost transparent for the data channels under test. An additional standard Gigabit Ethernet interface connects the Data Sniffer to a PC. Reading and evaluation of the tapped packet data is done with freely available network monitors, such as "Wireshark".
