You may want to look at the PCAN-USB Adapter with PCAN-Explorer 6 from PEAK. It will not be an exact 1:1 replacement, however.
The PEAK PCAN-USB Adapter is a generic CAN interface for PC which allows CAN data exchange according to ISO 11898-2 with CAN bitrates of up to 1 Mbit/s. You will need to check if your devices also use a High-speed CAN connection per ISO 11898-2 standard. If they do, the chances are good that the PCAN-Adapter will work for you. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee in the event it does not meet your needs.
The PCAN-USB Adapter has an FPGA with all the CAN controller circuitry, power supply circuits, and a CAN transceiver. For additional details, see the features section.
IPEH-002021/22) will work with any CAN device that is ISO 11898-2 compliant. The adapter uses an NXP PCA82C251 CAN transceiver. Here is a link to the transceiver datasheet for full details on CAN voltages:

There are 5 different add-on software licenses available. You will need one of the add-on licenses if you use a higher layer protocol such as CANopen, J1939, DeviceNet. There are also options for using a Protocol Monitor for one of these protocols. If you just use plain CAN, you may consider the Protocol Monitor CAN-License key for Protocol Monitor CAN (transmit / receive).
The available licenses are as follows:
CAN-Bus Tester 2: CANopen bus add-on $1039
CAN-Bus Tester 2: DeviceNet bus add-on $1239
CAN-Bus Tester 2: J1939 bus add-on $659
CAN-Bus Tester 2: Protocol Monitor CAN (Rx/Tx) $649
CAN-Bus Tester 2: Protocol Monitor CANopen (Receive) $519
CAN-Bus Tester 2: Protocol Monitor J1939 (Receive) $519

CAN-Bus Tester 2: CANopen bus add-on $1039
CAN-Bus Tester 2: DeviceNet bus add-on $1239
CAN-Bus Tester 2: J1939 bus add-on $659
CAN-Bus Tester 2: Protocol Monitor CAN (Rx/Tx) $649
CAN-Bus Tester 2: Protocol Monitor CANopen (Receive) $519
CAN-Bus Tester 2: Protocol Monitor J1939 (Receive) $519
The protocol monitor does the following:
CAN: Reception of CAN message frames incl. filtering, Transmission of CAN message frames and sequences (message lists)
What level of testing do you plan to do?
We're looking at debugging hardware issues with the network, would like to be able to determine problem messages/nodes on the network.
I would recommend getting the protocol monitor license along with the CAN bus tester 2 device. Or you can buy the unit by itself first (available from stock) and see if you are okay without that license. You can always buy it at a later point.

Phytools offers a number of different solutions for CANopen development on a Windows-based system.
If you are looking for a full-featured CANopen source code package, we suggest the SYSTEC CANopen Source Code SO-877. This software is a full buyout license, meaning there will be no additional runtime fees or royalties for deployed products with this code inside. It can be used in combination with any SYSTEC CAN interface module.
For developing PC-based applications in Windows, we recommend the CANopen Magic Pro DLL developed by our partner Embedded Systems Academy. This software works in combination with any PC-CAN interface made by PEAK-System Technik, such as their popular PCAN-USB Adapters.
Embedded Systems Academy also has other CANopen network configuration tools that may be of interest. You can find more information on the Embedded Systems Academy page.

Yes, there are limitations to the CANopen Magic evaluation copy:
1. Communication with a real CAN bus is not possible. Instead, simulated CANopen nodes may be accessed over a purely internal CAN bus.
2. There is no command line interface to access the CAN bus. Please note: The features in this version match the full version of CANopen Magic Ultimate. There are other versions of CANopen Magic available with smaller feature sets. We hope you enjoy using this software and experimenting with CANopen!

Yes, please email us for a 30-day PCAN Explorer Trial. You must also have a CAN interface, such as the PCAN USB Adapter. Each trial license includes all available add-in options.
You can do this with PCAN Explorer 6 with the J1939 add-in. We offer a 30-day trial of PCAN Explorer, and the trial comes with all the add-ins. Email us for your trial copy.
A DBC file is a Communication Database for CAN. It is the distributed system's backbone. DBC files are basic text files that include information for decoding raw CAN bus data to physical values or in human-readable form. They specify which signals (e.g., RPM, Vehicle Speed, etc.) are contained within specific messages (i.e., CAN IDs). In developing a distributed ECU network based on CAN, a key component is the communication description in the form of DBC files. Described in DBC databases are the properties of the CAN network, the ECUs connected to the bus, and the CAN messages and signals.
The PCAN-Trace can only handle trace files which comply with file version 1.x. A trace file that complies with version 2.x must be converted into file version 1.x with the 'PEAK-Converter.'
PCAN Trace cannot do this, but you can do this with PCAN Explorer 6 with the J1939 add-in. We offer a 30-day trial of PCAN Explorer, and the trial comes with all the add-ins.

The two devices provide similar functionality in that they both connect a PC or laptop via its USB interface to a CAN bus. Both devices support the maximum CAN bitrate of 1 Mbit/s. However, both devices have unique designs in terms of internal circuitry and software API/drivers. There are other differences in terms of CAN message throughput, buffer size, etc. If you are using third-party software that specifically requires the use of the Kvaser Leaf Light V2, then I strongly advise against using a different type of USB-CAN interface.
Phytools offers a PLIN-USB Adapter (dedicated LIN interface) and several interfaces that support both CAN and LIN, including the PCAN USB Pro FD, the Kvaser Hybrid, and the CAN FD LIN Gateway.
The PCAN-Repeater DR establishes a galvanic isolation of up to 5 kV according to IEC60601-1 within a High-speed CAN bus. Both CAN ports are decoupled from each other and from the power supply. All message traffic, including error frames, is forwarded 1:1 between both ports. The PCAN-Repeater DR behaves passively and is transparent from the perspective of the CAN bus. LEDs display the current bus status.

There are two solutions: PC-based solution or a standalone solution.
For the former, you can use PCAN-USB Pro FD Adapter, which has two independent CAN FD capable channels. Any message processing, manipulating, filtering, etc. will require using the corresponding PC software based on the PCAN Basic API.
For the latter, use the PCAN Router FD with specially programmed firmware as a stand-alone CAN FD router.

We suggest a PCAN-USB Interface with the included free PCAN-View software. If you need a device that is able to detect and analyze more of the physical layer properties of a CAN system, we do offer CAN diagnostic tools as well.
