This adapter makes it possible to connect any laptop computer or PC with a USB connector to a CAN bus. Galvanic isolation of up to 500V between the CAN signals and the host-PC is achieved with the help of an integrated DC/DC converter. The CAN is connected via a 9-pin SUB-D plug according to CiA standard recommendation DS 102-1. The LED integrated in the housing shows the operating state of the PCAN-USB. Also available as standard version under part# IPEH-002021.
The PCAN-USB package includes device drivers for Windows® 10 /8/ 7 (32/64-bit), the PCAN-Basic API, and the PCAN-View CAN monitor software. Linux drivers are also available. For customers needing more sophisticated CAN Analyzing software we have the PCAN-Explorer V6
